Bouce Rate In SEO is called Single Page Session. Bounce rate is percentage of visitors who lands on your website but instead of continuing they leave or close the website/page. It is when the visitors navigate away from the website after viewing only one page and they close the window. The simplest way to define bounce rate is when users accidentally click on URL on SERP page and close it instantly without surfing the web.

How to optimize Bounce Rate?

In order to optimize bounce rate you need google analytic tool. You can follow given below steps to optimize bounce rate.

  1. Visit analytics.google.com
  2. Put your account id & password
  3. Choose the property
  4. Go to Acquisition>All Traffic> Source Medium
  5. You will get a screen like below:

Now you have to sort the data by bounce rate.

Apply secondary dimension in it. For that you can scroll up and choose secondary dimension. Refer the screenshot below.


Under the Behavior drop-down, you will get “Exit Page”. Choose the exit page and you will get results like below
